Fall Intersession Offers Free STEM, Meals, and Smiles on Teacher Inservice Days

On select days this fall, when Scholarship Prep campuses were closed for teacher inservice, families across Orange County, Oceanside, and South Bay had access to free extended after-school support and school meals program that helped bridge the gap in the school calendar.

This programming was an extension of Scholarship Prep’s after-school program, offering students a safe, familiar place to eat nutritious meals, learn, play, and stay connected while school was not in session. Activities included hands-on learning, games, and enrichment led by adults students already knew and trusted.

The effort was coordinated by Extended Learning Operations Managers working closely with our after-school care provider teams. These intersession opportunities made a meaningful difference for families who rely on Scholarship Prep’s extended after-school programming.
